This day commemorates the language movement of 1952 in Dhaka, which played a vital role in establishing Bangla as the official language and later in the independence of Bangladesh. EWU organized various events and activities to mark the day, including a "Provat Fery" in Aftabnagar area and laying wreaths at the uniquely built 'Shaheed Minar' at the EWU campus. Additionally, EWU Clubs for Performing Arts organized a cultural program titled "Obinashwar Bahanno," which included discussions, performances of traditional songs, dances, recitations, and poster exhibitions to showcase the richness and diversity of Bangla culture.
