EWU ORGANIZED A CONDOLENCE MEETING AND ‘DOA MAHFIL’ TO MOURN THE SAD DEMISE OF DR. SAIDUR RAHMAN LASKER

East West University (EWU) arranged a condolence meeting and ‘Doa Mahfil’ in order to the sad demise of Dr. Saidur Rahman Lasker, Founder Member of the Board of Trustees (BoT), EWU. The program was held on 04 March 2023 at the EWU Campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka.
The program was followed by ‘Doa Mahfil’ where special prayers were offered for the departed soul. Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and founder Vice Chancellor of EWU, H. N. Ashequr Rahman MP, Member of the BoT, Ms. Kona Lasker Haque, Member of the BoT, Professor Dr. M. M. Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mozammel Huq Azad Khan, Professor, Department of CSE, and Mr. Abidur Rahman Khan, Deputy Chief of Admin and Logistics have shared their memory with late Dr. Saidur Rahman Lasker.
Members of the BoT along with their spouses, Pro Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Deans, Chairpersons of the different departments, Registrar, Faculty Members, Officers, Staff, some of the students of the university, and family members of Late Dr. Saidur Rahman Lasker were present at the occasion. Dr. Saidur Rahman Lasker was breathing his last on 31 January 2023. He died at the age of 83 years. He was laid to rest in London, United Kingdom.
