EWU welcomes Fresher’s in Spring Semester 2020

The orientation program for the newly admitted students for the Spring Semester 2020 of East West University (EWU) held in the courtyard of EWU campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka on 05 January 2020. Nearly 1700 students were admitted to graduate and undergraduate programs in 14 different departments in this semester. EWU arranged a grand reception program for the newly admitted students. The objective of the program was to welcome new students and introduce them to university facilities, faculty members, the academic system and the rules and regulations of the institution.
The program was attended by Dr. Samanta Lal Sen, Chief Coordinator, Burn Unit, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser, EWU and Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Prof. Dr. M.M. Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ziaulhaq Mamun, Pro Vice Chancellor, A. Z. M. Shafiqul Alam, Treasurer, and the Deans, Chairpersons of the university. Speakers welcomed the Fresher’s to the EWU campus and encouraged them to try to be an entrepreneur and worthy citizens of the country. Different Administrative and Section Heads of EWU and newly admitted students with their guardians were also present on the occasion.
Besides, the Graduate Studies (MBA/EMBA) program also organized another orientation program for their newly admitted students at the EWU Faculty Lounge in the afternoon. The program was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ziaulhaq Mamun, Pro Vice Chancellor, EWU, Md. Arfan Ali, President and Managing Director, Bank Asia, Prof. Abdul Bayes, Adviser, (MBA/EMBA) program, EWU, Sabbir Rashid, Head of Alternative Channel Sales, bangle CAT, among others.
