EWU WINTER SMASH 2020

For the five consecutive years East West University Sports Club successfully organized the event EWU WINTER SMASH. There were 83 teams from 48 different universities participated in this mega event of badminton this year which had 6 segments- Boys’ Singles; Boys’ Doubles; Girls’ Singles; Girls’ Doubles; Mixed’ Doubles & Faculty’ Admins.
On Monday 24th February,2020 the inaugural ceremony of EWU Winter Smash 2020 commenced with unveiling the trophy by a group of dignitaries- ASM Feroz (Member of Parliament); Professor M.M Shahidul Hassan Phd (Vice Chancellor, East West University); Amir Hossain Bahar (General Secretary, Bangladesh Badminton Federation); Md Ali HasanAlam (General Manager, PRAN Foods Ltd), MdAtikur Rahman (General Manager, PRAN Beverage Limited); MdMahbubul Wahid (General Manager, RFL Electronics Limited); Khaled Masud (Ex. Captain, Bangladesh National Cricket Team).
East West University Sports Club arranged the performance of a well known band “DALCHUT” in the inauguration ceremony.
With the greatest effort from the participants we got the winners of EWU Winter Smash 2020. And it’s our great honour to state that East West University is the winner in Faculty’ Admins segment. And East West University Sports Club congratulate all the winners of other segments.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Ziaulhaq Mamun, (Pro Vice Chancellor Of EWU); A.S.M Ashif (Assistant Professor, East West University; Moderator of EWUSC); Md. Ismail Hossain (Deputy Brand Manager of PRAN Food Limited) gave away the prizes among the winners. East West University Sports Club encourage the students to build mental and physical strength by organizing this kind of sports activities and believe that may today’s success be the beginning of tomorrow’s achievements.
