Innovation Takes Center Stage at East West University’s EEE Capstone Project Show – 2026

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at East West University (EWU) organized the prize-giving ceremony for the Capstone Project Show on 26 January 2026 at the Manzur Elahi Auditorium. The event showcased the technical ingenuity of final-year students, highlighting their readiness to tackle real-world engineering challenges.

The ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of research and practical innovation in shaping the nation’s technological future. Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, attended as the Special Guest, commending the students for their creativity and the department for fostering an environment of excellence. The program was chaired by Dr. Khairul Alam, Chairperson and Professor of the Department of EEE. The proceedings began with an inaugural speech by Dr. Ratil Hasnat, Associate Professor, EEE, who set the tone for the event by celebrating the journey of the participants.

A total of 37 participants, divided into 12 groups, presented a diverse array of projects. After a rigorous evaluation by a panel of experts, the following teams emerged victorious:

  • Champion: Project "Go Park" – Members: Mehedi Hasan Turjo, Md. Ahsanul Habib, Sumia Hossain, and Durjoy Kanti Dey.
  • Runners-up: Project "Wall Climbing, Glass Cleaning Robot" – Members: Badrul Islam Bhuiyan and Nittyananda Nag.


The winners were awarded crests and certificates by the distinguished guests.

Providing an industry perspective, Mr. Quazi Md. Mohebur Rahman, Head of Technology at Neural Semiconductor Limited, spoke on behalf of the judging panel. He lauded the quality of the projects and encouraged the students to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry application. The Capstone Project Show remains a cornerstone of the EEE Department's curriculum, ensuring that EWU graduates are equipped with the problem-solving skills necessary for the evolving global market.
