Learning gets a new definition through ‘Corporate Talks’

East West University Creative Marketing Club (EWUCMC) organized ‘Corporate Talks’– a virtual live talk show which was held for the very first time in East West University. The event was conducted through the Facebook Page of East West University Creative Marketing Club. The live talk show was designed with four live sessions where four professionals from four different industries burgeoned some artful instruction to the students.

The first session “Career Sketch” was held on 12th June 2020 where students gained knowledge about post crisis business and economic trends as well as some measures to help them prepare for their careers post the pandemic. The chief guest of the session was Sheikh Atiqul Alam, Trade Marketing Manager, Arla Food Bangladesh Ltd. He was joined by Reaz Hafiz, Senior Lecturer of East West University & one of the Club Moderators of EWUCMC. The session was hosted by Md. Masrakul Alam, President, EWUCMC.

The second session “Beyond The Books'' took place on 15th June 2020 where the esteemed guest of the session was Mohammed Maheer Tazoer, Channel & Category Development Manager, Unilever Bangladesh Ltd. He was accompanied by Nayeema Sultana, Senior Lecturer of East West University & one of the Club Moderators of EWUCMC. The session focused on how one can crack a business case and the required skills a student needs to excel in business competitions. It was hosted by the Vice President of EWUCMC, Meherin Binte Noman.

The third session “Expectation VS Reality” commenced on 18th June 2020. In this session students were given a briefing about the actual corporate culture of an organization and the competency required to excel in any profession. The reputed guest for the session was Amitabh Roy, General Manager, Finance & Accounts, bKash Ltd. It was hosted by Enamul Hassan, Event Coordinator, EWUCMC.

The fourth and final session “Start-Up Accelerators” was set in motion on 22nd June 2020 with the purpose of helping students to gain proper knowledge and some core tips & tricks for establishing their own Start-up company. The respected guest for the final session was Adnan Khan, Head of Ticket & Rides, Shohoz. He was escorted by Nurun Naher Popy, Lecturer of East West University & one of the Club Moderators of EWUCMC. The finale was hosted by General Secretary of EWUCMC, Mustafizur Rahman.

In conclusion, ‘Corporate Talks’ has been a breath of fresh air for the students of East West University as learning gets a new definition during the time of the ongoing pandemic. East West University Creative Marketing Club believes in taking such initiative for the young minds in future as well, so that the students continue to get opportunities to learn every day.
