The SMC Plus EWU Winter Smash 2024, organized by the East West University Sports Club, was a resounding success, showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship and the dedication of the players at the university level. The journey began on the 19th of December with a grand inauguration ceremony, graced by the presence of our Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Shams Rahman as the Chief guest, and Honorary guests were Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, and Club Moderator, Dr. Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan.
The tournament officially commenced on the 22nd of December, bringing together over 36 universities from across the nation to compete in six thrilling segments: Boys’ Singles, Boys’ Doubles, Girls’ Singles, Girls’ Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Faculty & Admin Doubles. The courts buzzed with energy, determination, and camaraderie as participants battled for victory. East West University shone brightly, becoming Champion in the Faculty & Admin Doubles and also Runners-up in the Girls’ Doubles. After five days of intense competition, the event culminated on the 26th of December with a memorable prize-giving ceremony. Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, and the Club Moderator, Dr. Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan, honored the Champions and participants for their outstanding performances.
