Workshop on “Hands-on-Orientation on Outcomes-Based Education (OBE)”

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has taken great initiatives to provide a training to the eight faculty members of EWU from CSE, EEE, ECE and CE departments of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering organized by Board of Accreditations for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE). A day-long, hands-on orientation program was held on “The Implementation of Complex Engineering Problem Solving (WP) and Complex Engineering Activities (EA)” at the Council hall, IEB HQ, Ramna, Dhaka on 18 June and 19 June, 2019. The program was addressed by Dr. A.F.M. Saiful Amin, Member Secretary, BAETE. The session discussed the design and assessment of learning outcomes with complex engineering problems (WP) and engineering activities (EA). On the occasion, the main discussants were Siti Hawa Hamzah, PhD., Associate Director (Civil Engineering), BEM and Liew Chia Pao, Associate Director (Civil Engineering), BEM. Other learned discussants forward their suggestion and recommendation after the floor was opened for comments and discussions. It was an informative and fruitful workshop participated by various faculty members from numerous public and private universities including BUET, EWU, NSU, BAUST, NSU, AUST etc. The workshop was ended with handing over an acknowledgement of attendance by National Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury.
